because thats a 24HB and goes beyond the scope of a 1,2 or 4HB - XHBs are meant to be tiny little things, some fire and forget kinda thing. start it, do it, move on. a whole day of minor battle creates bigger investment and dedication and goes beyond the scope of what XHBs are meant to be. it basically turns into a short major battle (as you can see here with advent calendar)

Sweet! I've got a Canon Rebel that my dad has had for years in his shed, but it doesn't have a CR card, and I have no idea how to use it (definitely on my to-do list at some point, though).

just a general info: the bitpack period was a month after the format suggestion period and unrelated to it.
i specifically designed it that way to give myself (and now dami and me together) a lot of freedom when designing the schedule.

that means that any "suggested formats" during the bit period were completely ignored and all bitpacks were taken and re-assigned to formats and days were we thought they could work well.
if a bitpack ends up with the format it was suggested for, its pure coincidence.

to clarify: cover means you shld remake an entry, not add onto the existing one.
so, sampling the original entry is generally not allowed. if you want to make an instrumental for an acapella for example, you shld also sing the vocals - or replace them with a different instrument.

ps: everyone can also just sing one of the acapella entries on their own

pps: this shldnt discourage anyone from going wild btw. adding ur own twist to the original? sure! extending an idea from the original? sure!! feel free to experiment!

fun new (for me) formats I got to play with this holiday season: sc55, BOOM, renoise (tho I'm still kinda on the fence about the ui) teletext, and tic-80.

BOOM in particular lead me to FreeDOOM, which I've never messed with before, and is a whole thing in its own right that I've been sleeping on for no good reason! I've been taking bite sized breaks from work to blast through the campaign.

Wonder if there's enough interest to do some 2HBs in the upcoming year...

Since there were 2 allgear days, and results are grouped by day due to the separate formats; are there separate trophy/tincan sets for Day 1 and Day 24, or do the two days get lumped together into one due to being the same format?
