Just a tiny request, although the actual contents of the entry are obviously the most important portion of your entry, the name can also help paint a picture in a listener's mind, thereby having the possibility of improving score. Throughout my times battling, I have noticed that uploaded entries are trimmed to 60 characters only (Example).

I get why this is done, and for most Botbrs 60 characters is more than enough to convey your tone, but it would be nice if BotB gave the user a little popup or note that states that the entry's name will be cut, and possibly also show the result of the cuttage (Or additionally someone could just add to a lyceum article warning about it, but actually hardcoding a feature in would lead to less unintended mistakes).

Yeah, I think it's 64 characters (including the file extension if that's part of the name, such as in xhbs). I've had that happen too. I think in most cases 64 seems sufficient, and although it does catch people off guard once in a while in my opinion I'd chalk this one up to unexpected "botb rites of passage" along with self-favoriting and the like. The unexpected name gets to live on and is part of the fun!

for a while we had a little box on the ohb page that listed your submission name + the resubmit button, i'm not exactly sure where or why that got lost, perhaps something to do with gradual operations on the battle engine. i wouldn't mind seeing that come back as a sort of middle ground, since it shows you the name of your entry and is also helpful for ensuring you submitted the right file to begin with.

it wld be super helpful, also for verification of being the correct upload, if the filename wld be present again on the xhb page after submitting (for the submitter only)

unfortunately not much you can do in xhbs but for major battles, you can put the rest of the filename in the description like this

I have this problem with XHB battle names, too. So, I started using a character counter.
