I would like to propose extending the new Buzz format to allow .zip files that include third-party machines!
Pros:
1. Future-proofing
although a machine database is available (https://buzz.robotplanet.dk/), the old Buzz machine database died once before, and there's no guarantee this one will live forever either.
2. Ease of playback
Including third-party machines would make playback easier, no need for listeners to hunt through various download pages.
Cons:
1. Filesize
Including lots of machines might make the file size large. However most machines seem to be under 100kb and compress well, so I think this wouldn't be a big issue.
2. Security
Since third-party machines are just .dll files, I suppose they might be a security danger...Although this is theoretically an issue for any format that allows .zip, and I guess hasn't been a problem so far.
3. Extra work
Especially in an OHB setting, noobs might not want to go through the extra work of bundling their machines.
In conclusion, although I don't think we should make it a *requirement* to include third-party machines in one's entry, I do think it would be a nice option!
