in XHBs maybe there can be a sidebar next to voting and you can try to bet a certain amount of boons on which entry will win, if you guess right, you get the money, if you dont, you lose it.

we could also add this to majors as well maybe? but im not really sure since its gonna be pretty difficult to win... but i feel like there should be some twist or something thats different for majors.. i havent really thought it through so ill leave it up to you guys!

also maybe we should make the ability to gamble be unlocked after you level up a certain amount, i dont think we want n00bs to gamble away their first boon... but it would be funny...

Well, the old battleofthebits.org domain now redirects to an online casino, so i guess there's nothing to lose at this point (except your boons)

I mean I trust the Botb community of the modern day, so don't take it the wrong way, but I could imagine a bias for one entry to win over the other having the potential to influence the voting.
Maybe a Botbr might vote an entry a point or two higher or lower to heighten the chances of there gamble paying off.
Those are just initial thoughts that come to mind, but I'm not necessarily advocating against the idea, just exploring the potential pros and cons of it.

personally i would prefer any mechanic like this to be boons only, not points

interesting that it could potentially make voting process more political as OPM said, but that it might (finally) incentivise people to vote on all tracks of a major, otherwise doing incremental tactical changes to your vote would mean nothing if your INF is tanked from not voting on everything in a battle

if ppl try to have more chances to win but dont want to get punished, the changes they make wont really affect the outcome of the battle too much i think.

Continuing from tennisers idea, a feature to buy a beer for someone, it will appear as a medal similar to tin cans on the BotBr's profile
