when i first joined some of my best friends on botb were these guys: aji, golgi, skinnyhead and sketchman. nowadays, i don't see them all that much. is there anybody you miss that used to be more active on botb?

I've only been here since 2020, but CastleNes is a super cool botbr in all things who has sort of just vanished... really hope he's doing okay and will return some day.

i do rlly miss dr merio (aka blaze weednix), we used to talk a lot back in 2016-2017, not strictly for botbr reasons (i didnt really care/disliked botb back then i think for stupid irrelevant reasons). i don't think we'd talk or work that well together as friends today but all the moments from back then, man i cherish them.

big lumby was fun to be around, he was cool, i hope he's doing well. castlenes was a gentle benevolent ruler type of person i think and their pixel arts were really nice, i hope they're doing fine as well.

i remember about a year ago when i rejoined botb when all these people were around just having fun and that motivated me to be active here again,like freddydanger, 2a03fox, aforementioned big lumby and castlenes and so on so forth, but then life happened...

i realize this is a thread just abt "who do u miss" just to name people, but for me there's way more going on than just "oh who made nice music" cause with that people always come and go, the music is going to be there for as long as people keep distributing it, it can be replicated perfectly that way, but the memories will never be replicated perfectly ever again and not to turn this thread philosophical too but it makes all the nice (albeit small) moments we had together so much more special to me, leading me to miss them more than say other botbrs i guess

SORRY i dont want this to be philosophical so just tl;dr i miss merio, big lumby, castlenes, basically everyone who was activeish in 2021 around this time last year (well a year and 2 or 3 months ago i g)

Because studying a master's degree takes away 80% of my time, I'm probably only able to upload anything to Summer Chip. That made me feel surprised about many people who you miss, who I still regarded as regulars.

Personally, idk how active is Petet now, but I miss the days where Petet vs. ToP was a classic battle. It was a great honor to be compared with such a good musician, not like me, hehehe.

I miss the times when Strobe would enter any OHB and instantly win...

I do miss their presence here - one of the first to comment on my music back around Winter Chip XIV when I joined, and that seems to be the last time I saw of them active.

In terms of actual social hangouts, back when I was active on IRC there was a crew of regulars that were always fun to hang out with (off the top of my head: aji, golgi, savestate, kf, malmen, melonadem, couple other folks I'm definitely forgetting), but like, some of 'em are still active today -- I'm the one who ended up ducking out of the OHB scene, not them, so my answer is kinda more like "everyone, really" :P -- wish I had the time to be that active again, 'cause BotB is the Good Shit(tm).
