Hi, thanks for stopping by! I'm a musician from Italy, I love experimenting with all kinds of genres and stuff. I also do digital (visual) art and programming sometimes, nothing too serious for now though.
Interests [list is not exhaustive]: art of all kinds, videogames (rhythm genre is my favorite), IT stuff, cute stuff, and cats. Myau.

I'm still pretty new to BotB, but so far I'm loving the experience, it's such a unique idea!
Also feel free to contact me for anything from small talk, to gaming, to collabs, to your biggest project of the century.

Oh heck yeah, well lately I've been VERY MUCH into Dynamix, but I also love basically almost all the others: Cytus (I and II), Lanota, Tone Sphere, Arcaea, VOEZ, ADOFAI, Phigros, Pianista, osu!, etc.

Cytus I in particular is a HUGE part of my childhood and my growing up with music, whoever's reading this should definitely check out the music from there, and Dynamix, it's just so much amazing music, bangers upon bangers nonstop.

Which rhythm games do you like?

Aah, this is the first time I heard about the ones you mentioned. Most of them have high anime aesthetics from the pics I'm seeing. Except for ADOFAI and Pianista. The latter is Guitar Hero, but with a piano? Pretty neat.

Oh, I like Rhythm Heaven, which has a very colorful cast of cute characters and catchy little tunes. Elite Beat Agents has men in black dancing in goofy ways to licensed music, which is hilarious to me. Also, had a good time with Trombone Champ, even though it's a bit more difficult.

I find it hilarious that you think Elite Beat Agents and Rhythm Heaven aren't of anime aesthetics. XD
I mean, maybe Rhythm Heaven a bit less so, because of the occasional chibi or non-anime art, but both games definitely have at least something anime to them too. Trombone Champ basically has Nintendo Miis in them, so it wouldn't classify as anime i guess.

Because the rhythm gaming genre is much more popular in, developed in, and mainly originates from Asia, obviously we got a lot of anime style rhythm games. I never really stopped and pondered about this, but yeah, the non-anime rhythm games aren't that many, lol.

That being said, though, because of the nature of the rhythm gaming genre, even when there is an anime aesthetic, much of the time will probably be spent just looking at abstract geometry art, as the level designs are typically as simple as... shapes moving onto other shapes. Although of course, with each rhythm game with their own unique graphical style.

I actually haven't played those 3 rhythm games much, and Trombone Champ I haven't played at all.

If I were to choose one, as of now - although please note that lots of the other games are almost just as amazing, and playing various games is important culturally -, I'd highly recommend Dynamix. Even if you might dislike the anime BG images, the songs and the levels/charts are HIGHLY worth it imo. However, while the game offers a LOT of songs (400+ and counting), and thus a lot of various genres, keep in mind a good chunk of them are electronic and its different subgenres (dubstep, DnB, etc.), with occasionally some chiptune elements, or sometimes electronic with an orchestra (artcore, renaissance, etc.) or solos of organic instruments mixed in. Musically there's a LOT going on in that game, and that's the main reason why I love it so much. Without exaggerating, a good 90% of the songs there are pretty darn memorable to me, just because of how perfectly they were composed. And the levels/charts are very fun to play and gradually range from very easy to very, VERY difficult. I'll admit, knowing how to play an instrument like keyboard definitely helps in playing a game like Dynamix, where the number of fingers needed to play range from 2 to 4 and sometimes even more.

Funnily enough, Pianista only requires 2 fingers to play, however it is pretty much only baroque, classical and romantic piano music. I love that game too.

As you can see, I love talking about rhythm games, so hmu anytime for more chatting, even about other stuff ofc :)

I... I didn't say Elite Beat Agents and Rhythm Heaven aren't of anime aesthetics! But since you brought this up, I'd say they are of a different kind. The games you mentioned have a Vocaloid style, while the protags in EBA look more like 80's anime characters.

We may chat again later~
