Can you add a down arrow or something to indicate witch of the links now has drop down functionality. It feels weird when you hover over a link with no menu and nothing happens.

nice! the change fits in so seamlessly with the rest of the site that I didn't even notice it at first, haha... this is a good thing btw. I've been jaded by google et.al completely reshuffling their UI every few years for whatever reason, so it's great to see cool new things that fit in well. :D

it's pretty cool! however, it is cumbersome to navigate on mobile, since the dropdown buttons are also links themselves. wonder if there's a good way to design around that?

Is the world page new? I liked it a lot. I noticed that US is split in two though, you may want to merge them if that's unintentional.

world page exists for several years now, but was hidden. the separated flags are because countries were saved different before botb 2.0
not sure how much work it would be for puke to fix this

i agree that its annoying on mobile
not sure exactly what the best update would be....
obviously i can remove the links from the parent button
that might be all it needs to be

updating the country codes (or whatever the problem is) shouldn't be too hard or take much more than 20 minutes or an hour :thonk:

hmm. the mobile menus just take some getting used to, I've found that pressing and swiping down works well.

if you care about mOdErN WeB dEsIgN pRiNcIpLeS, remove the parent links- add them to the list if they're unique. creates parity at the cost of turning one click into two on desktop

haha the parent links are already duplicated in the dropdown to make sure no one misses anything

This is a really nice feeling update. As soon as I saw the bulletin and the drop down triangles, I was actually afraid, but the main links function basically like how they did before the update, and the drop down actually saves a page load if I wanna go somewhere.

honest feedback:
i was clicking that "Forum" button over 56 times per day for sure. i never counted it, but it was around once per minute when i was active on the page.
since the update, i clicked on the dead link 6 times already,

if it works better on mobile, thats good. and if most people enjoy the change, thats good as well.

but i ... really dont like it lol

Well, never clicked on the dead link, but I understand that. I guess keeping the link on "forum" is possible? So nothinng change for others like me who enjoy the new design
