Can relate to DCT, it's impossible to pick just one, single all-time favourite, but at the moment i'd safely say it's Mezzoforte's Prime Time

Nine Days - Absolutely (Story of a Girl).
it's just so...happy. it gets stuck in my head a lot, it was one of the first things I learned in power-chord form when I first learned guitar, and then again for the real chords, etc. something about it so cheesy and kinda nostalgic, idk why, man, but I love it. xd

also xyz "Do ya'll not have one outstanding song that shines throughout your years?" thats this song for me lmao

Finding it really odd that a lot of people are posting their "fav of the year" rather than an actual favorite.

tbh my favourite song changes almost weekly and even the genres i like to listen to change a few times annually. however recently i've been enjoying finnish and russian new wave / postpunk rock. the bands i've been listening to mostly are Eppu Normaali and Kino. So yeah here's a couple songs from both of them that i enjoy the most

Eppu Normaali:
Vihreän joen rannalla https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6zLllsgUsU
Hipit rautaa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VFch6c-0Zk

Kino:

@apsarah haha glad you like my taste in music XD

@mk7 yeah it was a really awesome band. i find myself enjoying a lot of russian music from the 80's and 90's. i really liked those piknik songs you posted too. i was also kinda surprised to see finnish music here. i didn't think it was that popular outside of finland unless you count the stuff that's in english

@MrBoxBox Nice to hear that you like Piknik. They're not too popular here in Russia (although sometimes they're considered cult rock band), because there are not too many people that actually understand what Piknik is about. Also people often say they don't like the voice.
More Piknik:

About finnish music, despite the fact that Finland is famous for metal bands, for some reason i really love finnish music in general, especially folk. I guess that's because my family comes from Karelia, and I know what Sampo, Kalevala and kantele&stuff are from my early years.
just a couple of random folk and related stuff

I'm pretty sure I've heard between 100,000 and 250,000 songs in my whole life by now, forgive me if it's impossible to say one is an absolute favorite.

If I took the challenge Sam Phillips supposedly gave Johnny Cash, I'd probably sing "Even Less" by Porcupine Tree, though if I was in a better mood about my eminent departure I'd probably sing a song I wrote myself.
