Hey, is it just me or has the aura color calculations changed to be more forgiving for votes?

I've seen mine and other's aura suddenly lose it's orange and previously Skull-faced purples go light orange.

Maybe it's just how far the recalculations are apart, aidunu.

the aura calculation is based on relative voting, so (if auras are working correctly) some people's auras will get darker as other people's get lighter. e.g. i helped lighten the aura of anyone who voted on spring tracks, apparently.

I want grey aura >:C

I want the cool orange + blue/violet one, not this puke green

Yeah, I swear I saw my aura jump from dark blue to this orange color the other day so I was wondering if the calculations had changed as well (I haven't voted on an ohb in a few days either).

Interestingly, this is the first time I've ever had/seen an orange aura before and I think it looks cool so I'm not complaining!

oh, also the "sudden" jumps are due to browsers caching the auras for a while and only updating them sporadically; you can force an immediate update by hard refreshing (shift+F5 in most browsers).

Yes, you'll know the image is cached when the border doesn't match it.
