Is this becomes of some magic way the server identifies BMP files or something? MIME jazz-handlers? I don't know how the internet works I just turn on the faucet and the squids come gushing out.

what browser are you viewing with? it seems to view fine in pale moon (based on old firefox)

Hrm, using firefox it opens in-browser. Using chrome it saves the file. (I was using chrome.)

Looks like PDF files have similar issues in webkit browsers. WTF --- PDF FORMAT IS THE NEW FORMAT!
