play with no interpolation for best results! openmpt "clamp tempo to 0-255 range" flag is off as well, so also use openmpt for ideal playback too

i was thinking recently that my tracking style basically evolved from hanna's OK FOURKAY mod4k battle series... in like a very formative way. i became obsessed with eking out big sounds from extremely slow-speed modules using tons of effects, instrument envelopes, pattern loops/delays, and .it New Note Actions - like putting together little puzzleboxes.

that's a fun way to approach the size module formats without a doubt, but it began to pervade the rest of my tracking experiences, even when space/size wasn't a concern. i genuinely love tracking at speeds 8-16+ and do it willingly a lot, and the same sorts of weird instrument envelope/macro decisions are all over my work in famitracker, bambootracker, furnace, etc.

i don't think i would have arrived at this "unique" (if i'm being generous) personal style without having been trying to break open the tiniest tinymod format (and stubbornly trying to use and justify .it Instrument Mode there). things would be different without that series of battles (and the TINYMOD GRANDPRIX), and without the support of the many friends here who took part in those + current ones. sometimes i see little bits of myself in other peoples' modules, like i smile any time i see someone throw out an Ixy for texture, or any time someone bakes a delay effect into their volume envelope. i am really happy with where i ended up, and so grateful tbh, it could've easily been different.

that is what was on my mind as i wrote this module today. looking forward to checking out everyone else's!

advent diary day 3:
i don't think i have more to diary about than that, lol. i had a looot of fun with the samples, spent a while making instruments first, then sketching, then stitching together. thanks everybody

There's so much going on here, and yet it's so mellow overall. And five minutes, too!

I really enjoyed the description, too, there's a lot of insight peeking out from basically every word. I would absolutely read an ebook that was just pages of calm rambling about tracker songs like this.

I really like the playful bassline at the beginning.

I appreciate the text here. I'm happy to have been a small observer on the sidelines of some parts of your journey, and myself have changed a lot from how I write stuff in trackers from those same battles and from some of your own work.

10/10 recommend diving into some damifortune modules, you'll learning something new!

This track is an impressive example of your skills to boot.
