@Stupe I'll try my best! This track was worked on a lot off-stream, which is why it sounds more polished than some of our other collabs. Everyone had the chance to tweak nearly every section, so I can only recall what stands out.

The intro was mostly a group effort by Def Mech, Dami, .exe, and Connor Baxter. Pouale brought a ton of melodies and, along with .exe, did a lot of heavy lifting in terms of texture. Retro Kid spent a lot of his time in the noise channel. I focused on the overall structure and worked on several sections, like the part starting at 2:31.

Def Mech laid the foundation for the chord progression while I worked on the rhythm. Connor Baxter not only refined the chords but also contributed melodies, including the section that starts at 2:56. Sunnexo kicked off the section at 3:16, and I handled the second half, though everyone contributed major tweaks there as well.

I distinctly remember Def Mech starting the chaotic section at 3:36 with the hilarious line, 'I just punched in random notes.'

Thanks, sounds badass. I will definitely be studying the file on this one. I've heard plenty of lsdj work with better textures than mine but they're usually by-the-book techno and I just don't have the motivation to dig into that; this is an eye-opener

I loved working on this and listening to it again. Good memories and good vibes.

Other than what's already mentioned, I did the last quarter of the solo where it really goes off the rails at 3:35. I heard something there, punched it in, thought "someone more musical than me will really touch this up" and it never happened other than tightening up the transition to the next section lol

I also gave an early pass at structure. The song was pretty messy and I put it into a basic intro/verse/chorus/verse/chorus/outro structure. I must say after that it was really cool seeing people add to the structure and elevate it.

Sometimes putting a dumb idea out there helps make a good idea, sometimes the dumb idea is the idea.
