I covered a song today

“split in two” completely floored me when I first heard it. I can’t touch the guitarwork or colorful instrumentation of the original, so I leaned on my classical voice training for more of a Romantic-period “art song”. At least that was what I was going for 😅

The difficulty of the piano reduction quickly outpaced my ability, so I reached out to Mugo for help with recording. Mugo made their own edits to the piano score, which really brought the arrangement to true legitimacy. Mugo is a fantastic pianist and collaborator 💜
