i think it's cool that someone avoids normalizing to suit his tastes. it's kind of nice to reach for the actual amp of my headphones or speakers to push the loudness at a place i want. the amp in your audio system will add a little sumthin sumthin to the sound when you're cranking it to compensate for a low digital signal and hey, i like it(it's essentially how it used to be in the GoOd Ol DaYz)
