R-Pi Zwei: Robots' Fight

Artificial entities can fight each other too, You know.

This song has been made entirely on Raspberry Pi 2 British microcomputer.
It's smaller than Your hand-palm.
https://osmc.tv/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/sam_pi2-784x441.jpg
Also, the song has been recorded directly from the machine.
22 channels have been used.

The R_Pi's sound is being generated by the Broadcom BCM2835 chip (for the 1st model of R_Pi) and by Broadcom BCM2836 chip (in the 2nd model R_Pi), so it's resolved somewhat like in ZX Spectrum: the sound is being generated by CPU.

It works with 11 bit quality. It's not an actual DAC, it is a digital PWM module (gives a 'pulse width modulated' signal) working with frequency around 40MHz and it is low-pass-filtered.

The original Pi sound is warm'n'soft; doesn't remind thousands of razors.

Some people say R_Pi isn't good for music.
They are WRONG.

Thx guyzzzzzzz.

I dunno if I mentioned, the drums have been sampled from Roland TR-909 machine. Sometimes put through some fx, yes.

Techno-pop was very popular in 80s, I assume not only in Europe.

I imagined this genre could be a very good background music for the 80s SF movie - especially with fighting robots. ;)

Hey, what program did you use to make this? I have an RPi1 and I have SunVox and I think SchismTracker installed.

Thx again dudezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! ;)

Iamgreaser:

Hmmm, I have the Schism too but I would _really_ recommend the MilkyTracker. That's what I used here - and it works just fine! :)
I imagine it must work well on Pi1, too.

Good synthpop here...

BTW, Yerz, that Broadcom chip isn't a direct equivalent of classic CPU, since it's a SoC, it houses a CPU core itself
and some peripheral logic inside, including GPU and audio controller, among various thingies.

Also your song sounds like a pure PCM to me, not like something generated by a chip itself (dunno, but i doubt that Raspi has any hardware PSG chips anyway).
