Made in Furnace Tracker for the Sega Out Run board (YM2151 + SegaPCM). The final section is looping.

I saw that some of the other entries included a description of the imaginary race track, so I'll try this as well. I see it as taking place in a pastoral countryside in springtime. Throughout the track, speed power-ups are sprinkled generously. The race starts as a leisurely ride through a winding road, but as the pace picks up you gradually gain the ability to take shortcuts - to plow through hedges, to drive across meadows, to leap from hill to hill.
