A cover of my all-time favorite xhb entry on this website. This song really hit me when I first heard it and has always been particularly meaningful for me. I have fond memories of listening to it on repeat. Thanks, dami.

I included some fireside recordings from a recent camping trip intended for this song as a nod to glitchy textures. I also found doing some double tracking on a few of the guitar parts and leaving in my imperfections rather than correct them added to the feeling in what I hope is a good way.

you know, maybe this'll sound strange, but this sounds more like what I'd want to write than what I wrote. this is really wonderful, such a soaring and emotional cover. absolutely love the guitar and the field recording (the fire pops sound almost like a typewriter!). I could listen to you play for hours. thank you so much! you treated this little tune with great care.

The distant crashing drums absolutely bring it home. Like so much in your work, they evoke the sensation of an impending epiphany or moment of catharsis that's always waiting, waiting, just out of reach. Always presque vu.
