We promised some kind of surprise remix. So here is the same thing we did last time there was s surprise. Playas have 5 days to mangle a very limited samplepack allgear style to their hearts' content. There will be a 48 hour voting period.

After that, we will work on moving BotB to a new server host. And dealing with all the bugs that come along with such nonsense.

i'm working on this drunk. and now i have to peepee.
i'm tellin you... i know i posted it before when competition ideas were floating around.... but i'm telling you: ONE SAMPLE COMPETITION on a limited timline. like 2 days. that junk would be bomb. me & bleedmaster were at work today talking about the different samples to use for that kind of a comp. the funniest one that came up was from home alone 2 when he's scamming them on the phone with his talkboy and he says "credit card, you got it!" in the slowed down voice. i think it was just funny cause we say it for everything. example: "(variable), you got it!" in a deep voice. now i'm off to browse every post on this godforesaken site and reply to them.

we should have a flatulence sample competition... i don't know... i like what i've come up with, but origionally i wasn't very excited about the limited sample style. i should get to work on it again- revitalize my brain.

I love your sample idea, however corporations that own that sample would love to sue for using it.

However, if you or someone else re-created the sample to make it sound almost the same... well, that's fine and dandy.

But I don't want to open the can of worms that is the copyright debate.

Actually, I'd be quite interested to see what would happen if they did.

I wanted be surprised that in the States, where the unoffcial motto is "business uber alles," the Supreme Court would rule on a 5 to 4 decision that certain genres are illegal.

If they sued us for the amen we would get famous for sure. Somehow I don't think the winstons are the sueing type. I think the only way to get more limited would be to take the amen out of this comp. WE should have a 909 battle. Rebirth format.

blank-eh, no big deal. it's a pretty easy sample to remake. just say "credit card, you got it!" and pitch it down a bit.
either way a 1-sample comp with tiny amount of time would be fun for the family. maybe 1-drum comp and tracks cannot exceed 1 minute. something silly willy like that.
or like Gubernatorial said, a flatulence one. but use only one really really good one. and it's gotta be a gangster fart.

I'M ALL ABOUT IT... to be honest, i'm not really excited to hear all the variations of the amen break sped up chopped but i will try and vote positively.... i know it'd be fun to all burps and farts but we could also just have a comp of people talking... i should get on that IRC chat sometime. i dunno, i think using the amen makes people think of the same thing over and over. anyone else out here reading this feel the same way?

2 hours 20 minutes left. i'm at my friend' house... and i am now tempted to make a track as quickly as possible and use one of my aliases to submit it. would have to make an account for one of those aliases. i'll start 1 and see how it turns out. if it's worth it, i'll rockit

@gubernatorial: it's just a funny compo, of course the amen is over used and clichee but it became an important gimmick in the electronic music scene. And still, some people like Astrobotnia managed to use it an original way, so there are still rooms for creativity with such an old sample.

BotB has not had any test runs on an allgear remix tally. Time for reslut display has been delayed 24 hours. Though, if everything happens to just work on it's own, the resluts will be available in less than 30 minutes after voting closes.

For example, we do a flatulence comp, let's call it "Fresh Air"

we should allow different samples to be uploaded and then voted upon.
