if anyone is doing the workflow daw->..mid->openmpt->.mod->furnace->..dmf->deflemasklegacy , you might figure out that the tempo change effect used on furnace (when importing the .mod file) doesn't exist on deflemask-legacy , so the different tempo among both isn't a furnace bug, as tildearrow confirmed in furnace discord server

I think I had more enjoyment from moai than one has a reasonable right to have lol. I thought that format wouldn't be interesting because of the gimmicky novelty factor of it, but turns out it's pretty fun and somewhat down my alley despite its obvious shortcomings.

i wld like to point out that today is by far the hardest day in terms of format and bitpack.
to our big set of completionists: try your best or do your worst! if you can do today's day, you can also finish the battle 100% !!! :D/

For day 16 Amiga sample tunings (with a grain of salt that this was guesswork and could likely be more accurate) - sharing my resample rates to get the samples close-ish to C in OpenMPT. I used finetuning after resampling to get the rest of the way.

advent calendar is my favorite event on botb every year... there's something special about the way everyone comes together for all the formats, especially in discussing the weirder, rarer ones and commiserating over difficult software. everybody sort of collectively learns the formats as we go. and of course, it's a great opportunity to try new formats without the more intense time pressure of an xhb, yet low enough in commitment to actually take the plunge

this being my 3rd year now, advent was my first: pxtone, renoise, mptm, modXk, sms, amigamod, musescore, hes, jummbox, zxbeep, adlib, sunvox, aym, snibbetracker, channel F, baby-k, vcv rack, ansi, teletext, pandatracker, svg, ascii, tic80, bytebeat, klystrack, ahx, ... and at least the first two-thirds or so of that list is formats i enjoyed and would do again, if i haven't already (several of them are now perennial favorites of mine!)

it also friggin' rules that we had so many folks going for completionism this year. it is not easy to put aside that much time for learning and creating, especially around the holidays, so big props to everyone who's been digging in; those who haven't had time for every day but showed up when they could, too

i love advent calendar (major battle series)!

to kleeder: thank you for hosting this year round, you've introduced so many formats to me that it's uncountable at this point. i genuinely can't tell a format you've introduced to me apart from a format i discovered all on my own. kudos o/

to dami, sean, trist, webri, cabdrop: some are coming back from 2020, others are continuing the streak set in 2021. either way, major kudos to those who continue the grand tradition of adventism-completionism. dami in particular: hoping you get format master this year. you deserve it :)/

to kilo, dunehawk: if you make it this year (which is v likely) congrats on your first completionist route! hoping this one will lead to more in the future \o/

Time to talk about voting completionism : P

maybe time to talk about reviewing voter reward/incentive again - 66 botbrs entered, but some entries sitting on just 5 votes. this isnt a time issue, because people went out of their way, compromisingly at times, to enter, so time can be proven to be created with the right reward

i moved the result stream to 2 hours earlier on sunday, because otherwise it wld be too late at night for me (i have work on monday lol).

i wld also rly appreciate at least 10 votes on every entry, so if you participated and didnt vote yet, shame on you and stop being lazy.

i noticed that some people voted a lot in the past days but are still too far away from 100%ing to finish within the given time.
