now i'm looking (again...) for themes that could provide us a more comfortable (or less painful) use of renoise (like having larger text size on the whole interface, dark text on light background, etc. - if anyone know where can we find them, please share to us! :) )

nitrofurano: to change theme go to edit > preferences > theme. there are some pre-made themes in there that are light colours if you like that kind of thing or you can make your own in there as well (though i can only say for the full version, but it should be in the demo as well). also in preferences you can go into the "GUI" section and there you should be able to change the interface scaling as well as the pattern font size.

I have my Impulse Tracker sample collection from the days of dos still. It's full of mostly garbage.

it's hard to say what are "good samples" because it's subjective and creating your own samples can be more rewarding, but kiarchive ( https://ftp.untergrund.net/users/sagamusix/samples/kiarchive.7z ) has a large variety of quality old-school .xi instruments that can be used in renoise.
