late penalties are disabled for this battle for the sake of anyone new to snes that might need time to figure everything out. feel free to submit late, voting will definitely remain open past the late submit period

bitpack will contain both .brr and .wav sample rips from a specific snes game, just like with remix you can only use those (i didn't explicitly say no noise channel in the bitpack but preferably do not use noise channel)

for resources on how to do this format, check the links at the bottom of the snes format article on the lyceum. there are options for module conversion, DAW (yes really), and MML

the methods i'm familiar with are SNESMOD (converts .it to .spc and has its own documentation about what you can't do) and C700 VST (which our very own doctorn0gloff wrote an amazing article about on the lyceum, including how to set it up in your DAW). hit me up if you need some help with those

Aww... I could have decided to just make a song straight out of the exact build used for this game (which uses a Capcom sound driver)! Of course I'd have to check which samples were actually provided, though...

@ KFF when i do these, the pack contains every sample from the game (barring mistakes on my part, i somehow missed the kick drum in tales of phantasia a while back)

so i'd say feel free to give that a shot in the future without worry : )

The ones that I used every single sample in the game for my own OHBs are:
- Shinri Game 2
- Universal Soldier

I otherwise didn't do that simply because there were too many or I was usually filtering out some SFX-only samples.
