Why does this already have battle art and where did it come from.

i made it and its because i want an f-format to win this battle. if battleart would've been a format, it might've won the battle.. i want channel f or fsound to win a major battle ;D

oh ALSO!!! the current voting categories can be updated if someone has better suggestions lol, but this was the best that came to my mind

While some of the battles always have cover art as a format (Winter, Spring & Summer Majors), all others are kind of up to the host of the battle. If I have a definitive idea for a cover I just make it. If I don't have time or an idea or want to see what n00bs will do then I add it as a format.

I've reviewed my setup for creating Channel F music, namely SleizsaTrio. The problem is it seems to still compile fine, but when I start mess to run it (even the sample file "mame channelf -rompath roms -cart sleizsa_trio_demo.bin"), I only get a long beeeeeep without music. What happened? I've tried a few channel F games, they seems to work (including sounds). Did they change something in mame? (i'm using mame 0.195)

[EDIT] if you have the 0.195 version, you should update to the latest 0.215 which is working fine. Probably they corrected a bug.

yep, somehow it doesnt work with mame. u have to use mess. download link here

(i didnt test it on the 0.215 version of mame, if you say that works, thats good)

Yup, ChannelF CPU emulation was broken in MAME 0.192-0.204. Fixed in 0.205. Keep yer tools fresh & updated folks ;)

i noticed some people here said they'll try to make an entry but didnt submit one so far. thats not a problem per se, but if anyone is working on something and needs more time to finish their entry, now would be the best time to tell me

I'm gonna try to squeeze my 2 entries in one way or another :)
