Though it's no longer available in its original form. Has its awesome 808 reproduction been integrated into Reason? I've never tried Reason.

Oh yeah man, I was so happy to find that site a couple years ago as I'd lost my old cracked ReBirth...that's cool of them to release it for free! Instant trip back to 1999!

...so the question is, Puke, is this ok to use? I guess the only issue is that it kinda does circumvent some of the limitations of fixed 808 samples, with continuously variable snare snap/pitch etc...

I have a TR-808 sample pack that seems to have a wider variety of kick samples than the ones you provided, interestingly enough... not planning on using those yet.

I think I downloaded the .ISO pretty soon after they made that museum site. I've always considered making a battle out of that as a format of it's own... But, the matter at hand...

It says you can replace the drum samples with your own. So, if you replace the TR-909 sounds with your wilhelm scream variations and use the TR-808, I don't see any problem. The two 303's, obviously, are not valid. Post a link to your source for added fun! :D/

Also, I'm well aware that there could have been more 808 samples... I kind of rushed with what I found first. Just make sure everything you use is the 808 and the wilhelm scream!!!

I can actually still use the original ReBirth since I am still compatible with Classic... except for the fact I don't actually have the application. And now that the rules have been clarified, I shall use the set that I have usually used. making some kind of melodic instrument is really effing hard with the scream, it took way too much filtering and doesn't sound nice with the 808

on the other hand, my drum track sounds really sexy

Remix allows for some rather extreme measures, so I'm taking that to heart and I am indeed doing some serious damage on the sample.

This compo has caused me to recognize 808 samples and the wilhelm scream pretty much everywhere it's used...and everywhere where it's not actually used. It is as if the sound was imprinted into my brain somehow ...in other words it's amazing and annoying at the same time :3

Well considering Winter Chip 8 was my very first major battle, you could see why I expected more out of it.

Also the competition isn't so high so this might be an easier compo for me.
