I'm about to start a series of OHBs, called The Soundtrack Sessions. These OHBs are designed for BotBrs who are interested in joining to make an entire soundtrack for a hypothetical game.

Every OHB will have a series of rules and mild restrictions to fit a theme, say, a tune in an uncommon scale for scary level-themed music, or a pentatonic scale for an Asian-themed BGM (to say a few examples - there's no guarantee these will be used, so don't prepare for them! hahahahaha).

The first series of Sessions are aimed at the NSF format (no expansions), but as I have the badge for it I can switch to wildchip if people are more comfortable with wider soundchip choices or are unable to do NSF, just post about it on a reply here!

I'm aiming to begin tomorrow in the afternoon, around 4~5 PM CST (9~10 PM GMT), but of course it can be moved to a better time slot - I require at least 3 people, and I'd love to have more join in! Every battle in the series would be 2 or 3 days apart, but I'd post beforehand to have people get ready for it or ask for another day if required.

How's it sound?

I'm definitely down, but a later time slot would work better for me (say 8-9 PM eastern).

I've been looking for an excuse to get back into OHCing, and this might be a good one!

This sounds exciting, count me in. I'm with jrlepage though, a slightly later time slot would be preferable for me, since I work from 10am-5pm (Central time) tomorrow.

And NSF always sounds great. I've been looking for an excuse to learn Deflemask anyway, instead of just LSDJ all of the time, haha. (But if you want to sneak in a GB or Wildchip format every now and then, I wouldn't be opposed ;)

DBOYD, if you're going to make NSFs or NSF+, you're much better off using Famitracker.

jrlepage, trust me, I'd be all over Famitracker in a heartbeat... if I weren't using a Macbook :/ I might try PPMCK though. Or maybe just run Famitracker in Wine or something, but I hear it's quite buggy. Might just bite the bullet, and go for it. We'll see.

I gotta get out of here by 7PM eastern...soooo...yeah. But if it's earlier I'm all over it! And if it's like after 2AM eastern I'm into that too :)

Just be careful with your terminology: I actually usually look this stuff up right off the bat to determine what some of these words mean.

@DBOYD: I use mukunda's it2nsf. That way, I get the benefit of making a NES song through a tracker, even if I can't use Famitracker (I'm actually worse off, because I have the incorrect processor architecture to run Wine... specifically, PowerPC).

9-10 PM sounds like a great time! (earlier would be great too)

Maybe I can get over my NSF-o-phobia this time...

Moot, are you saying you require some time to get ready to go somewhere by 7PM EST? Because by then the voting period would've ended a while ago...

Next time I might just use the app Jangler used for scheduling, hahahahaha
