ok so i mentioned this briefly in the irc/botb discord but i have been wanting to Record Synthesizer Sound and so i am. this is probably going to remain for personal use on account of having nowhere to host it and potential legal troubles(?) if i did, so if you need something, i'll take requests and send it.
as for what i plan to record:
on my Roland JV-1010
YES
1. factory user performances (these contain multiple patches layered together and split across the keyboard)
2. factory user patches exclusive to the JV-1010 (they're sandwiched between duplicate factory patches and ridiculously underwhelming lololol)
3. preset patch bank A-E
4. SR-JV80-09 patches
5. all waveforms from 6the base synth and SR-JV80-09 expansion
6. (separate session) all patches from the SR-JV80-10 expansion
7. (separate session) all waveforms from the SR-JV80-10 expansion
NU-UH
1. Preset performances (none of these are particularly interesting, just examples of 16-channel setups of preset patches with no layering)
2. SR-JV80-01 presets (it's inserted and may be used in some of my custom patches, but because the presets are designed for the older JV synths and it converts them and I no likey. these will be done in the future once i have one of the originally intended synths again)
3. Anything I don't own (obv)
on my Roland D-110
1. all preset timbres
2. some of my own timbres
3. all drums
on my ALESIS SR-16
1. all drums
2. all preset rhythms with an appropriate kit
on my E-MU Virtuoso 2000
1. preset banks 0-2 from Orchestral Sessions Vol. 1
2. preset banks 0-1 from Orchestral Sessions Vol. 2
each synth will have its own session, with some exceptions where I need to swap certain expansions out of synths
