i usually draw my album art at 400x400 and i am upset and shocked and inconsolable at the fact that it's illegal to submit a 400x400 image to the chip battle art format, if this could pls be remedied i wld thank you for my entire life <3

not a huge deal if that's not a possibility tho. I wld totally understand!

(btw, 1200x1200 is the standard for album art resolution, so 400x400 is 3x downscaled. the other supported resolutions follow this pattern but for multiples of 2)

this is neither here nor there but since bandcamp minimum is 1400x1400 that's what i usually think of as "the standard"

Looking again (seems I misremembered) it's actually not 1200x1200 that's standard. This is because unlike Bandcamp, most streaming platforms have a minimum of 1600x1600. What a fun headache! Seems there's not much of a consensus

My little method is to start 1600x1600 so its a downscale and there is the high resolution available.

have recently taken to doing 512 x 512, seems a sweet spot though i have never tried 400 exactly
