if you mean just samples in general there are a ton of places you can go for those, can you be more specific about anything in particular you’re looking for? Depending on what it is this site can be a pretty solid resource.

Sure. If you’d like some videogame samples as a start, you could go search for the Yea Videogame competitions on the site and download any of the sample packs from them. Those are solid. You could also go into the browser page on the site and search for s3xmodit format entries (or small formats like 24K, etc) by clicking the format icons on the left column, and checking out any of the results. Those ones would all include samples and would be openable by a tracker like OpenMPT.

Outside of botb, just a matter of searching around for what you’d like, and if you can’t find it, figuring out how to grab the samples yourself. It’s fun to have a nice personal sample store saved up on your computer

I'm certain that the pros also get their copies on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/420530/OneShot/

...I'm sorry someone had to make the joke, lol. I'd bet that professional music producers buy sample packs or generate their own, leaning more towards the latter. Personally, I draw/record my own samples, and obtain others from tracker modules. You can get started here on this website by listening to remix XHBs you like and getting samples from the bitpacks.

Take a look at https://openmpt.org/top_picks. Music Radar and WaveWorld in particular have plenty to get started.

Soundfonts (sfz files) are also pretty popular in some circles so it's a useful keyword in google searches.

Finally, most DAWs, even demo versions like Renoise's, will come with a library of sounds out of the box.
