any botb entries that are connected with certain moments of your life? memories deeply attached to a specific submission here on botb?

variety.png is closely connected to a period where i was in a lot of turmoil and unease as a huge mental help to get through the day along with many other entries. variety.png just sticks by me though, nothing else really comes straight to mind when comfort through the bad times is thought of.

Here are some entries that carry abstract feelings with them:

kalii - wake alone in castle
This entry reminds me so much of... Well, just waking up on cold mornings, alone, but a pleasant kind of loneliness, also times I'm snuggling with someone I love. From what I can gather from the title, I bet you were going for this mood.

doctorn0gloff - corporate
Very specific feelings with this one, brings back memories of me walking outside on early mornings when it's very dark. This entry comforts me, I only get to walk those walks rarely.

agargara - frozen cottage
Anything that is cold, cozy, uncertain and cloudy, I'm reminded of with this entry, it's just that good at capturing these feelings for me.

I'll come post some more when I find cool entriez or remember one.

Like playing Undertale again for the first time

When I listen to this I remember watching a video on how broken bubsy 3d was back in 2015, it's also one of my most favorite OPM entries

Reminded me allot of playing Half Life 2 ep2 strangely, but I really like that amiga dist guitar too

I remember finding this on modarchive before botb, it was pretty awesome finding people from modarchive

/ and this / converged on basically the same Chords around the same time, like a secret lietmotif of H2O, awesome songs btw, also one my favorite OPM entries

Makes me think of the hope I have, that I can Bounce Back from my mistakes. It really resonates with the bell ringing in my ❤

I guess allot of botb songs remind me of playing video games, does that count??? For most of my life I've been a Gamer, and I still am
ha ha.

I haven't been around very long, but actually have listened to a lot of this stuff over the last year. Some recollections:

This father entry - Mario Paint is usually just silly, but I loved this one and hearing the melody reminds of me of when I first joined the site and how exciting the prospect of Winter Chip (and all this site had to offer) was to me.

This Zero entry -- opened my eyes to really loving AdLib and was a moment of seeing how expressive chiptunes can be. Reminded me of the way I felt about chip music back 10+ years ago.

This Galgox entry - I've got a kid that's medically complex and ended up in the hospital for a couple weeks this year after needing a major surgery. I was driving home one of the days and feeling pretty bummed for her and decided to stream some botb radio. I figured 12K would be a safe bet for some nice mellow tunes. I came across this song which is simple but really lifted me in a way I can't adequately describe. I listened to it on repeat for most of an hour on the drive and was jamming to the point where I got lost because I wasn't paying attention to the road. I love getting lost in music when it happens like that.


There are plenty more memories of songs that are really meaningful to me, and some specific battles that I had a great time with. To the community: thanks for all of it!

damn good entry. i remember hearing this for the first time and thinking "i wanna make something like this"

opm entry that has surprisingly inspired my style of making sms tracks, despite it being an aym track. downloaded this and put it on my psp

THE ansi entry to get me into ansi. pigdev was a goat when it came to this, miss them so much :'(

fucking killer vav entry that got me hooked on darkwave and darker electronic music in general
