Twice now I've gone to listen to one of my tracks and have somehow mistakenly favorited it. I'm not even sure how. Maybe it has to do with my browser window being narrowed to half of the screen? Anyways, I swear I'm not the type to go oh man i really hit it out of the park with this one, i love this.

I could understand this not being a feature because of implications on things like the Entry Activity or User Alert logging, but I just wanted to know if there was anything for it.

There differs from being a mechanism to unfavorite an entry yet: I recall reading a mention about an idea about that one might, via an item one could buy with b00ns from a merchant: It might be as so in the future!

I think it would be a really funny idea to pay boons unfavorite something. And yeah I guess I really do just have to embrace it lol! Good to know how the system works. Thankies for replies.

heheh you stumbled upon a recurring botb inside joke! it's a weird quirk of the site, you get used to those after a while

best way to deal with this issue in my opinion:
only use the "listen" feature while logged out/in an incognito window.

remember though that downloads also count toward your play count for an entry, so be careful not to download the same entry too much either!

for me, i don't really mind having my own entries in favorites, but it's annoying when other people's entries that i actually don't like that much end up in there.

but yeah this is basically the holy grail of botb features :P

the only solution is to immediately abandon the self-favoriting account, make a new one and pretend you're someone else

anyway, i don't think it's necessarily narcissistic to listen back to your own work. how could you improve without self-analysing?

never liked autofavorites because it means I never actually use the feature to keep track of the songs I like the most, it's mostly full of stuff I clicked on a bunch vs stuff I really actually like
