what even IS the entry browser and how does it differ from All X Entries??

it's meant to be the main entry browser integrated into a botbr's profile page so anyone can search through their work

i spent some time on this today
there are still some loading issues/bugs
but for the most part it works!!

entry browser on botbr profiles is now a thing :o

bug: its not listing collabs i got added to

i think i would prefer it, if the format-icons were sorted by name rather than id

alright -- got some feedback in a few places so I'm going to do my best to make a todo list for myself here....

bugs / adjustments
- default sort should be descending submission datetime
- format icon sort should be by name not token
- missing collab entries not submitted by botbr
- serious issues with format toggle buttons
- returning to browser with back button is borked (need to move the initial `entry_browser.update()` probably inside `jquery.menuBuilder.js` like argarak suggested)
- botbr browser not autoloading when returning to page using back button

other places to put it
- botbr profile favorites page
- battle entry page (when battle has more than 1 format and/or more than 1 entry period)

... I'm trying to only work on botb code one day a week so i don't get burnt out -- I should be able to knock most of this stuff out next week! Sorry if I leave it `almost done` for now and thanks for the feedback! :D/

one thing that might bother me with this change, if someone has more than 500 entries, something like 600, finding those 10 entries might be almost impossible. having number buttons with "previous" and "next" would be a nice edition.

this is probably too much feature creep, so just ignore it, but i was just thinking about how great it would be to have a search bar where u can just type in the title and the entry shows up, similar to the tag search

I'd really like the old shortcuts to be added to the new system. So like, "123 XHBs" button would take you to the entry browser with the filters set to XHBs already and so on, if that makes sense.

it does make sense but i was so happy about losing all that clutter!

searching entries by title (like you can tags in the Browser) would be super cool, but probably later down the line

i should probably mention that if you click the link from outside the page (like say clicking this link) then it ain't show your entries! (in firefox)

On profiles with only 1 entry, like mint's profile, the entry button isn't visible

deadloading/back-buttoning entry browser on botbr profile still borked, but loading things in more appropriate orders and they include collabs! :D/

mints profile shows "1 entries" now but the browser doesnt load that entry (or is it just me?)

I like the new system a lot! A feature from the old way that I do miss though is being able to see the number of a category. which I think would maybe help LittleTheremin's conundrum very slightly.

I apologize if this is not a concise description, but I was thinking about it earlier and thought it would be neat to have a counter for how many entries there are once you apply filters.

So for example, click Public Toilet's page and I want to know how many times it has done a major battle, somewhere after I click the filter (perhaps expressed as a fraction in the dropdown for how many entries to show on a page? or perhaps its own icon, small number in the corner, whatever) it would say the total number of entries matching those filters, and then if I wanted to see how many of those are visuals the number would drop again, etc

Always hate to make feature requests, but I do think there's practical applications for this if it seems good! Appreciate everything that you put into making this place happen and keeping it running.

i *think* it should be quiet easy to get the total amount of query results as a number and display it somewhere on the search page above the list. this is something that would be kinda cool in the original browser as well actually. being able to see how many total [format|major]-entries there are etc etc

this thread might get a bit long but i think it'll be fine for the duration of this specific feature epic

a "now showing X of Y possible" would be a great addition to browser filtering for sure in all the places it appears

i also added a note about the format toggles being borked in that post somewhere in the middle of this thread xD

i had the problem mentioned above where one of my 2 entries didn't show up in the entry browser for a while (a collab), but now that it appears in there again, none of the associated trophies have been transferred to my profile : (

collab trophies only update on your profile if one of your own submitted entries is going through the tally-process. submit an entry on your own, let the battle end and all the trophies will show up!
