It would be really nice if I were able to actually do 1 hour compos from my FreeDOS rig using Arachne w/o having to FTP stuff to and from my laptop. Because now it just says

Fetch requires an integer for object `user`. =p
#0 GetBackTrace() called at [.../kernel/_STACKMEM.php:152]
#1 STACK::FetchObject(user, deleted) blah blah
#2 Fetch and blha scrwet that next one is more interesting
#3 user::CheckCookie() called at [../whats/boot.php:72]
#4 require_once (.../whats/boot.php) called at [.../_FECES.php:23]

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::IsLoggedIn() in .../whats/boot.php on line 176

This is from Arachne 1.95 GPL.

EDIT: OK, I looked at the cookies. Every. Damn. Cookie. was set to expire "roughly a year ago", so to speak. The time / date on my system is correct from what I gather. Any reason why it would be doing this?

Why are you trying to stash this website up in a spider lady?

jk

That's really cool you can browse the web in CGA graphics. I don't know why the cookies have the wrong date/time on your tricked out browser. When you log in, they are supposed to be set for 100 days in the future. When you log out, they are set to 100 days in the past which, by browser standards, should delete the cookies. AFAIK the OHC engine should work w/o javascript, though I could be wrong. Yes, the errors you listed would be results of cookie problems and not javascript errors. I could try to set up a freeDOS in VMware to try and debug the situation but I'm honestly not interested. I mean, what's next? "Make it fit on my Amiga screen?"

on the other hand, using oldschool technology to browse an oldschool-related website should be worth being supported ;) and if the site would be made arachne-compatible, it would run on almost any system (including amiga ;))

I think that'd be too much on our pukey. Even though I would like the site to look better in text browsers like lynx (yes, I know, Elinks is better, but not all text browsers support CSS).

@ant1: far less unrealistic than you think.
