but for visual entries we have bupkis nada zilch zero malarkey hooey rigamarole fiddlesticks

Honestly, we just need a name. Something better than 'visual allgear'. Art? Is that ok? No, the audio stuff is also Art!

i have a few suggestions

- studio (pertaining to where art is made), and
- museum (pertaining to where art is displayed). both pretty obvious.
- allbrush, following the naming schema of allgear
- arthouse, referring to arthouse theater. i think it can play another role as referring to a format where all art is home to. obvious pun but i think it can work.

there are a ton of names for stuff like this, but atm i can't think of anything else so here's all my suggestions atm. might update later, who knows

on a related topic, I hope we can agree that Draw should encompass both digital and physical drawing and painting, while pixel and programmed art (which should itself be a format) are separate

a thing noone ever talked about with all the pixel-draw-clusterfuck is ansi and ascii art, which is definitely a part of visuall, but not fitting in pixel or draw format, so yea this format is great, its needed, its gonna be cool and it should be named VISUALL. !!!

calling the format simply "image" might be more clear as to what the resulting entry is (though the need for the image to be original is not clear in the name), or if sticking to the all<something> scheme "allart" might be good

imo "allgear" is an equally esoteric term to anyone who isn't familiar with this website. it gives a format some charm to have that one-time learning experience

allmedium could be anything, why should it be visual art only? kinda cool to have a format for just anything by the way, worth experimenting even if not likely to be used a lot

YQN I understand what you mean. I was thinking medium because it is heavily used by fine artists instead of paint. Anything can generally be called a medium like a bassists bass guitar is their medium. Plus now that I think of it medium doesn't really apply to digital arts all that well.

i'm also wondering you folks' opinions on animated media. i don't know about the technical limitations of the site but support for short gifs or webms sounds cool in a visual allgear format.

but gifs are supported, they are listed as file formats for ...
