Like a proper one, you know! Notes freaking everywhere! I think that would be cool. My tactic would be to program a bunch of tools that add notes to the midi. And then render/write a renderer for the midi file.

Black midi is a very audio-visual experience. So I believe a video render in the post would be necessary.

Another rule! Black midi must be piano only. Drums and stuff can be made by playing every note at once.

i would suggest to either increase the midi filesize limit or make it a wildchip compo with clear rules. in the past people have uploaded modules to their wildchip entries and then rendered mp3s, no one really cared, shouldnt be too different with this one.
however, i wouldnt be the biggest fan of a black midi compo, i'll be honest. i do agree there's a lot of room for creativity on it; especially visuals; but i'd rather see a tracker animation compo instead. especially since (i think) most botbrs are more familiar with trackers than midi
