Every post should have a hyperlink somewhere, for example in the post number, that points to the post itself.

Many forum kits have those post permalinks; small things like this can improve usability greatly.

EDIT: I have no idea why that shows up in a new tab. Also, apparently something like '[l[#post74924] has the same effect

if that post belongs in the same page, so that could probably be turned into something easier to type such as '[q[74924] (standing for "quote").

The post numbers are now links. This has been requested before in the past. I didn't see your [EDIT] until just a few hours ago. I haven't tried adding post links (or other BotB ephemera) into firki markup because I've never tried to tightly couple the firki interpreter to BotB. If I ever refactor firki to be extendable I would consider it. Also, I might want to include some kind of caching so no db calls need to be made (a work around would be including both the thread_id and post_id in the firki parameters). And the new tab thing... I'll be looking into that; shouldn't happen when the link is still inside the site.
