I finally finished my new mp3 tagging code library. New BotB compo submissions can have id3v2 tags now! =D This will avert some problems we have had in the past.

I was thinking it would be fun to embed BotBr Avatars into the id3v2 tags. But winamp does not support the viewing of such pics and I don't want to install iTunes for testing. Does anyone have a suggestion for another light mp3 player that can display embedded pics?

Also, I want to dump the quicktime for mp3 playback in BotB 2.0 -- an embedded flash player (maybe older version like 7 or 8) I think would be more universal.

Tags, in the case of MP3s, are extra embedded data that goes beyond the "(track number) (artist) - (song title)" file naming convention. They can include year, album name and, in the case of ID3v2, as much extra random garbage as you can think of.
