I remember puke saying that some tweets didn't get published because they were too long, so it was better to truncate them so at least they come through.

I'm sure there's a smarter technique than simply truncating, but it's a start. :)

I took another whack at this. Twitter handles all URLs as 23 characters no matter how long they are. If there is text before the URL then you need a space so actually 24 characters. The other things that takes up space is the @botbr_name when applicable.

The text being sent to twitter is now truncated with these things in mind and attaches them at the end.
