assuming you're talking something similar to bp arena's comment system, i'm totally on board with it. would make it a lot easier for people to improve based on actual feedback and not just a number placeholder (assuming people actually give feedback and not just "lol" a hundred times over, ahaha)!

do you only want to be positive and placating with your criticisms? this seems to be too kitglove and PC.

i'm not promoting trolling but if you're opening a forum for criticisms and open to accept criticism then you should be open to all forms of constructive criticism.

if you do not do well with feedback, perhaps you can explicitly checkbox that you do not want a feedback comment when you submit your entry.

i mean, this is gonna sound harsh but if anyone "doesn't do well" with criticism, this is not the right hobby for them.

you can only go so far on intuition and practice and talent. eventually you have to listen to what others think of your work, and incorporate that into your continued development as a composer/producer.

i think that if this is done right (by which i mean, your criticism being something like "your percussion is a little loud" or "too many parallel octaves, don't neglect your thirds", not "wow, this makes me want to kill myself, so you should kill yourself first to save me the trouble"), then i think this could be a hugely positive thing for botb. i'm definitely on board.
