I always wonder what kinds of majors people want to see that we don't see that often. I know BOTB has some variety going on, but for example in my opinion it would be nice for more map design-oriented majors for those interested in them since these are extremely rare and were last held a really long time ago (with the exception of advent calendar). It would also give me an excuse to try to make a vanilla DOOM map even if i suck at that field.

There's also the fact about majors that used to be a cornerstone of this site in it's early history but disappeared eventually, for example Ann Arbour and Detroit, Amen Sin, Metal, etc.
I know the first two can't be held currently due to being based in IRL events that aren't longer occurring along with the bit system they depended on not being redesigned for the current battle engine, but i wonder if Amen Sin and Metal could be held once again. I wanna see what the newer BOTB talent can offer in these kinds of scenarios and genres.

Walkman melody was an interesting idea for a major

I liked the timing aspect of tiny mod grand prix where everyone had only a certain amount of time before the next format opened. It was also a lot more manageable on both the entering and voting scale than advent because there were less categories.

It would be remiss of me to forget being interested in a signalist major too. A signalist grand prix would be cool

more abundance of visual majors would be really cool!

Amen Sin and Apache Saw for me were more simplistic ideas for a major, since they each consisted of a drumbeat and a simple wave to go with it. I might be up for something like that again, simply because lately the sample collection has been a bit too dizzying at times.

@gotoandplay: I don't know what the precise mechanics of a Signalist grand prix would be, but I know I would want it to be called "Smackdown of the Signals".

I also wanna see the Metal battle again (since I've been working so hard on a prog metal song for some reason and i can't submit it on Spring Tracks, unless i make it into a vocal collab with someone since i already wasted my allgear slots in my main and alt there 😭.... along with wanting to see what the modern BOTB talent can do with the genre since it is kinda unrepresented on this site nowadays)
