1. of course!! artists gotta support each other with feedback and care and whatnot ^u^/
2. yeah, there are certain things with pixel art that once you start doing them you can't stop. dithering is the obvious example but other examples include limited palettes (1-bit pixel art ftw) and doing short animations (fireball effects, text bouncing, etc). mixing shading techniques to differentiate different textures is definitely something your entry has gotten me hooked on and is something that i gotta look for now when looking on sites like lospec and pixel joint
