I tend to avoid dithering in my own battles because doing it by hand is so time-intensive. Do you have a tool that helps with it or is it all you?

Ahh thank you so much!! It's from a photo I took visiting family up North.
I only hand-dither for small details usually, I got a dithering brush set for CSP recently cuz I saw other people used them too. :D I highly recommend!
