For last year's Summer Chip, I was working on a midi entry, but didn't get too far with it. However, almost half a year later, it proved to be a good starting point for a second attempt; the sound design and general concept were something I definitely wanted to develop further.

Just before the previous entry deadline, I fell pretty hard during work and injured my wrist, making it hard to work on any of the tracks I had in progress for this Winter Chip, which were 2 tinymod entries and another midi. The latter didn't get too far and felt more summer-y, so I decided to shelve it in favor of the midi entry from last summer. Then, the day after the deadline was extended, my wrist had recovered sufficiently, from which point I spent the entire week working on this entry. It's been a while since I've been so focused on music!

While it shares some sound design and a few callbacks to my midi entry from last Winter Chip, I really wanted to make something more distinct and active, which is not exactly in my comfort zone. Regardless, I do hope this entry can find some appreciation.
