Does this makes use of some of the “weird FM ‘pitch modulation’” which mentioned in the format’s notes, in the section from about 1:15? There’s some great distorted noisy stuff happening there

@a-tiny-pony yes! pitch modulation is also being used on the main guitar part in the first couple minutes too, for some added guitar-amp-like distortion, but it is most striking on the high "tremolo picked guitar" lines like the one at 1:15 : )
