this stuff is absolutely beautiful
I love when people use the vrc7 well, makes me happi
very nice melodies and chords

...but (I'm sorry plz forgive)

Were it not for the tags mentioning it, I might not have noticed the vocals. You can definitely hear them, just I feel that since you can't hear what the words themselves are, it kinda is just there (thought some may just be 'vocaled' chords, but I can definitely hear words (when I checked the ftm))

still very gud tho

great songwriting! kinda reminds me of a 70s soul ballad or something like that -- a cool style, and maybe somewhat underrepresented in chiptune.

I partially agree with SRB2er, the vocals are unfortunately kinda hard to make out, but I know that's pretty unavoidable with DPCM. Maybe there's some kind of preprocessing one could do to help this, but I don't actually know what that would be! In any case I think it would be cool to hear a version of this mixed in a DAW.

you know what's funny is i compressed the hell out of the vocals and it made them less intelligible and more blown out. whereas with the previous vocal tune 'to me that's you' i applied no compression and the vocals came out more clearly.
