Not quite born in .spc format... I was more born in... either Harmony Assistant's .mus format or, if you want to go even further back, with MTV Music Generator 2 for the Playstation 2. However, I had SNES music ideas for a really long time (at least four years prior to making my first piece of actual SNES music, which occurred sometime in 2009 once SNESMod was made), and I was even attempting to make some myself despite the fact that I was producing ridiculously large songs due to the samples I was using. Allow me to show you one of my earliest pieces of SNES music I attempted to make from 2005... and I just recently converted it over to IT and made a .spc of it, too! Here's the original: https://www.box.com/s/4ybm8pd1mv4nyvd4ol3v And here's the .spc file, made seven years later: https://www.box.com/s/gq3ozfm9xgecyeeqh23y

Your pun actually has a small bit of truth to it... I've gotten close to actually programming something for the SNES... Well, the closest I have to an actual SNES ROM is a very sloppy programming test with the SNESMod sound driver and my attempt at coding for that, compiled with WLA DX. I have been making code and am considering a graphics test, and I even have a few SNES game ideas in my head... even a port of my Nine Pixel Game from Stencyl to the SNES is a possibility (its design is very simplistic and doesn't even bother that much with the graphics).
