flowers in your hair
sweetly rotting in the summer heat
how beautiful it would be
if we could die by each others' side
god why can't we live
in less interesting times
i dreamed we had a house
where love and joy abound
where we could eat and laugh and fuck
and know tomorrow will come around
god why can't we live
in less interesting times
watching the sun rise
i don't know that we'll survive

this is super sweet! i think the vocals are great - good job putting yourself out there, and it is understandable and clear in the mix. you have a familiar habit of enunciating like a choir singer, which reminds me of me especially when i started singing and writing lyrics more. i don't think there's anything wrong with what you did here but i did at least want to say, esp for a style like this, you can let go of 100% of that pretense and get more raw with it, if you want. (this is self-advice too lol - it's still a challenge for me!)

the tuning of the clean guitar is a bit off, and that gets a little awkward alongside the computerly-perfect triangle wave. it's not really enough to detract from the song as a whole but is at least worth mentioning

really cool song! i hope you do more!

thank you! i hope to improve, and feedback like this goes a long way.

i was trying so hard to let go of the choral enunciation! as of this morning, i have a better idea of how i would want the vocals to sound, but that's esprit d'escalier for you

noted on the geetar tuning -- i really need to give the tuning a once-over *after* putting a capo on.

i really hope to keep doing songs like this and to expand on form and style and to keep on improving -- this is, so far, the entry i've done here that made me feel the most scared and vulnerable hehe
