to flee the persecution they faced from the theocratic empire, the elves, with their desire to uphold their traditions, fled to the northern reaches. the expedition, led by elwyn, eventually led to the establishment of the town of everlight, so named because the sun never sets there, giving the impression of perpetual dawn.
...oh wait, did i write a theme for the wrong kind of elves?
