first shot at Lunar Magic!

wrote "cab drop noob rag" for the level and added the music thru AddmusicK! first time doing MML. started writing the music in snesgss. couldn't get the .spc in? so I looked around smwcentral.net. read thru Wakana's Music Porting Tutorial! fired up Vim and started writing note letters, brackets, less and greater than signs; staying close to what I made in snesgss while adding more. really wanted to do all the samples from what's already in Super Mario World. no added samples! was absolutely hellbent on having bongo drums kick in when riding Yoshi. "$F4 $00" got it working! also "#option smwvtable" up top may have done smth too? afaik this all makes ch5 (of ch0 thru ch7) silent until Yoshi gets ridden. a "/" before the ch5 MML music notes made the loop stay responsive to the Yoshi situation. also found out ch6 and ch7 are for sfx, so I boiled the music down to five channels, six with the ch5 Yoshi bongos

the level is really good, and I liked the use of blue yoshi to fly over the stone "wall"

you did not need to make such a fire composition for this stage, but you did, and it's so fire I love it

solid right-to-left level layout, requiring the blue yoshi is smart, custom music is custom, difficulty is just 'enough' - seems pretty impressive for a first attempt at custom SMW stage creation to me! I could barely figure out the editor last time I tried 😅
