i love the pulse quartet... i'm charmed by the idea of hooking up a couple NESes at a concert hall recital and letting them play something like this

i did have a classmate in college who used the gameboy on a recital piece which was cool... gameboy, a small string section and flute iirc. he's even the one who gave me my lsdj cart that i didn't use for several years! anyway, his piece was super inspiring. i was too intimidated by the prospects of chiptune at the time to pursue it myself, but ah, in another universe...

I've never listened to a song that had a shift in it that was strong and sudden enough to startle me in such a way before. There's something this piece has that the others that would presumably have been able to don't, not just a general unexpected spike in volume or tempo or anything simple like that. I think it's the pulse wave chords at 1:29 that do it for me.

Ooh nice melodica, and really cool moment when the break beat comes in. I like how the timbre totally shifts but the melody is still the same

as soon as i'd seen words ETUDE and AGARGARA above the door i knew i have to rush in. i had a laugh, amazement and delight inside. another masterpiece o_O
