Really like how the instrumentation dies down as the song approaches its finish! Is there volume control on SID? Don't use the chip myself, but thought maybe a programmed fadeout and tempo slowing could work too to really conclude softly.

There's volume control on the SID chip, but it's not for each channel and it's just one volume control for the whole chip.
