Update! (Added bonus track at the end) Consider the first track an opening cut scene while track 2 is more of a level theme.
These tracks were mixed and mastered using only Korg Gadget for Nintendo Switch.
Track 1 uses the following Gadgets for each sound:
Wolfsburg for rhythm guitar.
Otorii for drums.
Ebina for bass.
Marseille for guitar lead and vocal pads.
Track 2 uses the following Gadgets for each sound:
London for drums.
Marseille for harp, flute, and strings.
Berlin for bass.
Compositions by Jredd, Mixing and mastering by Drexagar!
The sounds used here might stretch the term "fakebit" but it does have many chip elements in it with some of the synths and samples used.
As for where this could fit in an RPG? Track 1 an opening anime style cinematic where it introduces a cast of characters and gives a glimpse of the adventure they will embark on.
Whereas Track 2 is more of an in-game introductory level tune. Perhaps a mystical cave where you fight low level slimes for EXP and find helpful items in hidden passageways.

Just for the info for the public, (and for the sake of paranoia of not losing creditability for authentic sound lol)
the track was mastered in korg gagdet switch using techniques by tweaking the synthesizers and volumes naturally and not using any outside software. Jredd was able to send the file from his switch to mine.
So the sound you here is coming from the nintendo switch.
Its fakebit, but we are trying our best to NOT go out of the territory of authentic vgm / chiptune sound from over processing of a file and stay within the limitations of korg gagdet switch itself.
I was glad to have a hand in this awesome track JREDD has made.

Very cool, and I had never heard of that Korg app on the Switch before.

It's a bit spendy but considering all the synths and samples it has I think it's well worth it if you like the idea of composing on the go :).
You might wait for an e-shop sale, but even if not I'd say go for it if it's something you can afford.
